Welcome!

Hey! Thanks for joining me!

I'm the Mother of two beautiful girls. I love to cook and feed my children fairly healthy food. We lean toward the paleo and primal way of eating, but you can bet we aren't passing up a fantastic burger or ice cream cone from time to time.

You'll find that our food choices are easily relatable. You won't find a bunch of odd recipes with exotic ingredients here. We are fairly mainstream meat and veggie eaters, and I find that keeping things simple helps in a number of ways.

1. Meal planning is easier.
2. Grocery shopping is faster.
3. Simple meals keep the grocery bill smaller.
4. Meal prep is less complicated or unnecessary.
5. You can get a meal on the table faster with less ingredients.

Meals that are nutrient dense are important to me, so I'm willing to skimp in other areas to buy better food. With that said, as a single Mom, there's only one paycheck, so maximizing the budget is just plain smart. We also participate in sports and activities that take up a fair amount of our evenings, so fast meals are a plus as well.

Our meal plan keeps me organized and helps us avoid eating out too much. Hopefully it will do the same for you! I'll share our menu, the accompanying grocery list and more with you as we go.
